Our Stance
We will implement the following initiatives in four businesses during the 1st Stage (fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024) to achieve our 2030 targets.
- Industrial Automation Business: Power-saving designs in new products to achieve innovative-Automation
- Electronic and Mechanical Components Business: Providing products that contribute to the decarbonization of society by helping customers save energy through products that are standby power-free, consume low power, feature compact design, are lightweight, etc.
- Social Systems, Solutions and Service Business: Reduce to less than 310,000 tons (compared with fiscal 2016 results) through replacements with low-power consumption products and by developing and selling energy-saving products
- Healthcare Business: Develop and introduce technologies to reduce power consumption in new blood pressure monitor products
Initiatives in Other Categories
We are striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in logistics. In Japan, we endeavor to improve transportation efficiency by using consolidated and shared delivery services, while also adopting environmentally friendly vehicles. Overseas, we are reducing greenhouse gas emissions by reviewing parts supply methods and minimum order quantities for parts procurement. In this way, we aim to reduce the distance and frequency of transportation between suppliers and factories.
