In order to develop eco-friendly products, the OMRON Group has a product environmental assessment process in place (chart below) at the product planning and design stages, taking into consideration of the energy-saving and resource-saving capacities of its products at every stage of their life cycle.

We adopted the life cycle assessment (LCA) method* to develop products and packages that reduce the Group’s environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle. We use LCA to measure our environmental impact, endeavoring to develop products and packages that reduce greenhouse gases, use less raw materials, avoid pollution, and reduce waste.
