We at the OMRON Group provide environmental education and awareness-raising programs with employees. These programs are intended to enhance their awareness of environmental issues and boost up their environmental preservation activities at work and at home.
We provided environmental education programs targeting all employees as well as rank-specific programs with the aim of promoting environmental preservation efforts across the Group. To raise public awareness of environmental preservation, we participated in an environmental education program for elementary school students organized by the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the program, Group employees held classes at schools to raise awareness and promote SDGs-related activities. We will keep working on environmental education and awareness-raising activities.
We are committed group-wide to contributing to the global environment through our businesses and reducing the environmental impact of our business activities.
With regard to our environmental stance and ongoing activities, we disclose information through various media such as Integrated Reports and website, with transparency and continuity.
We reported in Integrated Report and on our website on the progress of activities that are based on OMRON Environmental Policy*, as well as information in accordance with the TCFD framework.
At the long-term vision/medium-term management plan presentation held in March 2022, we introduced our long-term vision, which states that we will work to realize carbon neutrality as a social issue. We also gave a presentation on our medium-term management plan, which states that we will step up sustainability initiatives and integrate business growth with sustainability initiatives to a greater degree than ever before.
We proactively disclose the environmental information to diverse stakeholders, including investors and customers, by responding to surveys, such as: CDP climate change, water security, and supply chain questionnaires; Corporate Sustainability Assessments for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and other surveys by ESG rating organizations; EcoVadis survey to evaluate and monitor suppliers' sustainability; and Nikkei Research's SDGs management survey.
