Our Stance

The OMRON Group cares about and works on the environment burdens by containers and packaging materials for products, such as individual product boxes, trays, and sticks.
The Group strives to reduce the use of packing materials for transportation by employing a returnable container system and reducing the weight of packing materials. The Group will promote improvement of transport efficiency in order to reduce CO2 emissions at the logistics stage.

FY2021 Overview

The amount of containers and packaging materials globally used was up 9% year on year, due to an increase in carbon neutral and de-plastic-related investments by customers and increased sales in continued demand in the digital market.
In Japan, the Group has been acting on the Containers and Packaging Recycling Law. The Group will keep working on resource saving by monitoring the amount of containers and packaging materials used, and standardizing these materials.
