OMRON has been ranked, for the first time, as “Gold Class” the highest ranking in Sustainability Award selected by S&P Global, the world's foremost provider of credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics in the global capital and commodity markets. OMRON is listed in the Sustainability Yearbook 2021, one of the world's most comprehensive publications providing in-depth analysis on corporate sustainability.
S&P Global evaluates roughly 7,000 globally prominent companies from economic, environmental, and social perspectives and selects the top 15% companies in each industry across 61 industries as a sustainable company and listed in the Sustainability Yearbook 2021. The companies within top 1% ranked "Gold Class".
OMRON Rated Platinum in EcoVadis Assessment
Headquartered in France, EcoVadis is a third-party organization that assesses and monitors the sustainability of suppliers. Using a highly trusted, independent joint platform, EcoVadis comprehensively assesses more than 65,000 suppliers in 160 countries and 200 industries, covering four group themes: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. OMRON started to disclose its information on the platform in 2018, and was rated Platinum in 2020, a new rating category established in the year to recognize companies scoring the top 1% of all assessed, which means that OMRON's initiatives in sustainability have been highly evaluated by its customers.
OMRON Included in the "Nadeshiko Brand" for the Fourth Consecutive Year
OMRON Corporation has been selected as the "Nadeshiko Brand" for the fourth consecutive year.
The Nadeshiko Brand, a joint initiative by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Tokyo Stock Exchange, selects TSE-listed enterprises that are outstanding in encouraging women's success in the workplace as attractive stocks to investors.
True to CEO Yamada's declaration that "diversity drives OMRON growth," we at OMRON have been working to promote diversity, starting full-fledged efforts in 2008 to give women more opportunities to play active roles at work.
Specifically, we established a dedicated diversity promotion department in 2012 to provide women with dual support in career development and work-life balance, offering them a work environment in which they have choices of training and flexible workstyle.
Additionally, we are working to raise awareness of managers and female workers.
OMRON Included in the "Health & Productivity Stock Selection"
OMRON has been selected, for the third consecutive year, for inclusion in the 2019 Health & Productivity Stock Selection, which is jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
Under the Health & Productivity Stock Selection program, companies are selected from within TSE-listed enterprises engaging in a health and productivity management program in which they focus on and strategically carry out efforts with regard to their employees' health from a management perspective. OMRON has been making efforts in this regard, including the formulation of the OMRON Health Management Declaration in fiscal 2017, inclusion of "Improving awareness of wellness management" in one of the sustainability goals linked to its medium- and long-term management plans, and leadership that top management has shown in expediting these initiatives.
OMRON Certified as Health & Productivity Management Organization
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi jointly offer the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program to recognize enterprises that are outstanding in implementing initiatives to promote health and productivity management including efforts aimed at addressing regional health problems.
OMRON Corporation and OMRON Healthcare Co., Ltd. have been certified to be among “White 500” large-scale Health & Productivity Management Organizations for the fifth consecutive year, with OMRON Expert Link Co., Ltd. for the first time.
OMRON Receives METI Minister's Award for Corporate Governance of the Year 2018
OMRON has received the newly-established METI Minister's Award for Corporate Governance of the Year 2018, an award program organized by the Japan Association of Corporate Directors (JACD).
This award program has been organized by the JACD since fiscal 2015 with a view toward supporting companies that have achieved sound growth over the mid- and long-term through good corporate governance.
The METI Minister's Award is presented to companies recognized as having established a successful model of having an independent nominating committee and other organizations effectively supervise their plans concerning, in particular, the selection and succession of presidents and CEOs, the planning of which is fundamental for corporate governance. OMRON was selected for this prestigious award because it has maintained a high transparency of the CEO nomination process performed by the "CEO Selection Advisory Committee" which was established in 2006, has secured the effectiveness of the committee dedicated to appointing the CEO, and has achieved effective utilization of the committee.
Won the Grand Prize in the fifth "WICI Japan Awards for Excellence in Integrated Reporting,"
OMRON Integrated Report 2017 has been awarded the Grand Prize in the fifth "WICI Japan Awards for Excellence in Integrated Reporting," organized by the World Intellectual Capital Initiative (WICI) Japan. OMRON received the award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting for the fourth consecutive year, but won the Grand Prize for the first time.
The award was granted in recognition of the report as a masterpiece in encouraging stakeholders to foresee business activities in conjunction with excellent evaluation for the efforts to put integrated thinking into management practice and its concise explanation.
Named second in JCGR's corporate governance survey（2016）
In the 2016 Corporate Governance Index Survey (JCG Index Survey) conducted by the Japan Corporate Governance Research Institute, Inc. (JCGR), OMRON Corporation was ranked second among the 150 respondents of the survey questionnaire. The JCG Index Survey questionnaire was sent to all companies listed in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Awarded Semi-Grand Prix in NIKKEI Annual Report Award 2020
OMRON's Integrated Report 2020 (https://www.omron.com/global/en/ir/irlib/annual/) won the Semi-Grand Prix Award in the NIKKEI Annual Report Awards 2020, following the Grand Prix Award in 2017.
Nikkei Annual Report Awards is a prestigious contest which Nikkei Inc. has been held every fiscal year since FY1988, aiming to further improve and promote annual reports.
In the 23rd Awards in FY2020, one Grand Prix, three semi-Grand Prix, three Special Awards and 14 Excellence Awards were selected among 132 applications.
OMRON's report was highly evaluated for the following reasons:
