Our Stance

The OMRON Group cares about and works on the environment burdens by containers and packaging materials for products, such as individual product boxes, trays, and sticks.
The Group strives to reduce the use of packing materials for transportation by employing a returnable container system and reducing the weight of packing materials. The Group will promote improvement of transport efficiency in order to reduce CO2 emissions at the logistics stage.

FY2022 Overview

Despite sales expansion due to customers' increased investment in carbon neutrality and plastic-free initiatives and continued demand from the digital industry, the amount of containers and packaging materials globally used was down 11% and 12% respectively year on year thanks to logistics improvements and weight reduction initiatives.
In Japan, the Group has been acting on the Containers and Packaging Recycling Law. The Group will keep working on resource saving by monitoring the amount of containers and packaging materials used, and standardizing these materials.
